Lakeshia Miranda has worked in the field of social work for the last 19 years. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Fresno State. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of California since 2015. In the social work field, she has worked for Fresno County Mental Health, Madera County Child Protective Services and Valley Children’s Hospital where she was assigned to work in the Pediatric Oncology Department. Lakeshia also taught social work classes at University of Phoenix.
In 2019, Lakeshia obtained her teaching credential from the State of California and a Master’s Degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction from Fresno State. She is currently an elementary school teacher with Fresno Unified teaching 2nd grade.
Lakeshia is married to husband James and they are parents to 2 teenage children. They also have 2 fur babies, a chihuahua/shih tzu mix and a Labrador. Lakeshia and her family enjoy spending time together and are involved in various sports activities including participating through school and competitively and attending various sports events for Fresno State, especially football games. Lakeshia also enjoys the beach and considers herself a “foodie”.
